In Indian mythology Elephant is one of the significant animal. In Sankrit it is called Gaja and it depicts number of positive attributes, including abundance, fertility and richness; boldness and strength; and wisdom and royalty. It has been said that Lord Shiva unknowingly killed Ganesha, who was guarding at door and later lord Shiva had to replace Ganesha's head with Elephant as he could not find the original skull.
In hinduisum, Lord Ganesha is the God of Good Luck and Auspiciousness and is the Dispeller of problems and obstacles. He is also worshipped as the God of wisdom, wealth, health, celibacy, fertility and happiness.
